Miria went to art school and majored in performance art, but she's been tech adjacent pretty much her whole life. She's been a graphic designer / web designer / UX designer since 1999, and she's worked at The Free Software Foundation, Digitas, Symantec, and Yahoo. As a script consultant, Miria can vet your film / television script for technological accuracy, especially in the areas of internet search, online advertising, social media, computer programming, networking, security, and AI.

Other areas of expertise include nerd / geek / hacker culture, especially from the early days of the internet. Instead of going to high school, Miria hung out at MIT and the Artificial Intelligence Lab where she spent a lot of time playing NetHACK and TinyMUD and learning keyboard shortcuts for EMACS. She made friends with a lot of smart people who thought like computers, some of whom were trying to teach computers to think like people.  If you need to know what life was like before Google, before GNU, even before GUIs, Miria can help.

Additionally, Miria's an information sponge who loves looking things up, so you should get in touch if you need someone to quickly – or exhaustively – research just about anything from genetics to genealogy for your script. She'd probably really enjoy that!
